MailCAT
Designed for
the SME or smaller school, MailCAT builds
on NetCAT with the provision of web based
applications such as webmail. Ideally suited for the SME (Small
and Medium Enterprise) or branch office use, the Navaho
MailCAT incorporates all of the advanced
features of the NetCAT with powerful
web-based applications. These include email (with spell checking,
attachments and folder management), centralised address books (personal
and global), calendaring, and a history/bookmarks system which remembers
which web sites you have visited, no matter which workstation you
log on to.
Access From Anywhere
Navaho MailCAT
users can access the Navaho
web interface securely from any PC with a web browser. This makes
remote access possible from anywhere in the world. (Note: some Internet
connections may restrict this.)
Easy Installation and Management
A front-mounted LCD panel and kepad provides
for the initial set-up. All other administration of the server is
achieved through a web browser utilising a secure connection. This
enables administration activities from virtually anywhere.
Easy Integration
Navaho MailCAT
will authenticate with existing Windows fileservers, allowing seamless
integration into an existing network, providing network protection
and increasing staff productivity
Plus All The Great Features Of NetCAT...
Internet Acceleration
The NetCAT intelligently
stores commonly requested web pages and images via its caching proxy
server. NetCAT can double your perceived
Internet Bandwidth in typical usage by serving these pages and images
direct.
Internet Control and Auditing
Businesses need to be sure that their connections
are utilised in the most efficient, safest and intended of manners.
NetCAT achieves these goals by enabling
control of internet usage in a number of ways.
- Enable/disable access on an individual
and group basis.
- Categorised web site content filtering
can block access to inappropriate web sites
- Locally managed allow, block and content
filter lists
- Control over times of access to the web
The categorised block lists are regularly and
automatically updated by Navaho Support, meaning
that you don't have to spend time looking for inappropriate web
sites. NetCAT also provides a number of
advanced control features for email traffic:
- Control which addresses can be sent to
and received from
- Content filtering can block offensive
words
- Security filter looks for common viruses
and trojans
- Optional virus scanner (powered by Sophos
Anti-Virus Technology)
- Spam relay protection and global rejection
- Intelligent Anti-Spam filter
Comprehensive logging
and auditing -
Every (single) email and web page that passes through NetCAT
is logged, so you can find out exactly who is using the Internet
and for what! Powerful Auditing tools help you to analyse the
usage of your connection including a unique user profiling tool. |

Security - Out
of the box your Internet server is a tempting target for hackers,
crackers and spammers. A typical server on the Internet will
be scanned for vulnerabilities over 20 times an hour.
NetCAT has a whole host of built-in security features
to protect itself and your network from attack.
|
Firewall -
A tough, stateful firewall prevents
access to any services on the server and the local area network
which may be vulnerable to attack.
Spam relay protection ensures that your server cannot be used
to send spam email, whilst email security scanners check for
common viruses or trojans.
Navaho’s own Security scanners can be complimented with
an antivirus plug-in powered by Sophos.

File Server -
For smaller usage networks, the built in file server solution
with domain logon server support does away with the need for
a separate file server. |
DHCP -
The DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol) server can automatically allocate IP addresses to
your workstations, saving time on configuration of your workstations.
|
|
VPN -
NetCAT uses 3-DES encryption using
RSA or PSK authentication creating connections secure and untapable.
NetCAT supports one site-to-site VPN tunnel and a number 'mobile
users', making it ideal for a small company or a branch office.
